Has anyone fitted their own stick down LVT?

I'm wondering how hard it is - we've run out of money at the end of an extension, and we have no flooring yet. It is all screeded ready to go, so just the sticking down bit now.

It looks like it could be straightforward to me...

(Polyflor Camero is the style)

Hmm. Do you think it is just round thr edges and doors that it is difficult?

we have click type LVT which is quite heavy ( per plank ).
it hasn’t lifted or curled up ( do they do that ? ) and has been down 3 years now.

has a foam sheet underlay of a couple of mm to additionally dead’n sound.
not that it’s ‘clacky’ anyway.

We have polyflor camero. Can't comment on the fitting but our extension has loads of windows and we've had loads of problems with bubbling where the sunlight hits if I were you I'd stick some lino down and save up for proper flooring. I'd never get it again unless there was no light in the room. It's a known problem.

We did our own screed and LVT. It's been down almost 12 months and so far so good.

I never try and fit stuff that is difficult to remove if I think it may be temporary.

If you use stick down LVT then it will make a right mess taking it up.

Getting the floor flat and ready for flooring is 90% of the problem done.

I would stick click LVT down over a layer of good underlay and use beading round the edges. You should be able to DIY.

In a couple of years when you want to tile or move to more expensive flooring it will be trivial to take up.

We fitted polyflor expona rapid loc ourselves. It has a built in underlay. It went well and a year on there are no issues at all and it looks really good.

I have stuck down LVT tiles in a utility room which I did myself, not the brand you are using though, can't even remember what brand they are. I used levelling compound on the floor first before the adhesive as it has to be really flat, other than that it wasn't too bad if you are good at diy and measuring etc.
