Rightmove... anywhere else?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I was just wondering if it's worth looking anywhere else online apart from Rightmove? 🤔

We're looking too move in Hampshire incase that's relevant!

We've called local estate agents about what we're looking for too 😊

Hi @LovesFood1987
Try Zoopla and Purplebricks.
With Purplebricks you can book viewings yourself on the app.
Happy house hunting xx

Ok great thanks for much for the replies 😊 as you can tell I'm not very good at the house moving thing 🤣

Do they have properties on there that aren't on Rightmove?

Everything is basically on Rightmove @LovesFood1987

It's rare a property is listed elsewhere and not on Rightmove too.

Flubadubba · 21/09/2023 20:46

What Twiglets said. Generally if it's not on RightMove, it's not on the market. An estate agent friend said 95% of enquiries come through RM.

That said, some agents have lists of priority customers that they show properties to before launching more widely, so it's always worth signing up directly too.

TizerorFizz · 21/09/2023 20:52

Sometimes an agent will ring you pre listing on RM. Usually if you have funds snd you can buy quickly.

CantThinkOfANameAtAll · 21/09/2023 20:52

Try going direct to the local agencies. You have to pay extra to go onto rightmove or zoopla and some sellers don't think it's worth the money if they have a desirable house anyway.

Can anyone recommend a good auction house to sell a run-down London property? I've just been looking at online reviews and to be honest most of the ones I've found seem to have some very unhappy customers.

ByeByeHouse · 21/09/2023 21:19

Gah... sorry about the above...meant to start a new thread.

TheYear2000 · 21/09/2023 21:32

I am buying a house... that wasn't on Rightmove! Shock horror. Estate agents pay a fee to put them on Rightmove. Which means some local/smaller agents don't put all properties on there.
The house I'm buying was on onthemarket.com (similar thing, but apparently a wider range)

(My new house is a decent property in zone 2 of london, but the agent definitely isn't as super slick as others I have bought and sold with!)

I can recommend lots not to use! Don't go near Purple Bricks or their auction off-shoot. Or if you do ask them for my keys and boiler back pls!

Have an amazing estate agent who I literally walked the streets to find and he had my wreck sold to a cash buyer within a week. South London if any use.

Ps I've also found properties for a friend to view in W Sussex on Onthemarket.com that weren't on Rightmove
