Pipe lagging under floor

We have a house that was built in the 1930s we were having some works done to the living room so took the opportunity to have the pipes under the lounge floor lagged.

However our builder hasn’t done the neatest job of it and there are gaps in the lagging.

Other half isn’t happy and wants the floor boards up again and it all done properly.

I think something is better than nothing and just want the house to no longer be a building site.

Thoughts? Anyone know how much of an issue this could potentially be? Is hubby over reacting or am I under reacting?

I'm assuming you're talking about a suspended floor on the ground floor of the house. If it were me, unless the gaps are barely noticeable, I would want it done properly, as I think significant gaps will undermine the effectiveness of the lagging overall, and there would still be a chance of the pipes freezing. Also, it's just sloppy work, and I'd want it redone for that reason alone.
