Toilet leaking 1.5 years after installation

I got a brand new bathroom fitted in April '22.
I now have a leak coming from the water supply feed at the back of the toilet.
I contacted a plumber today who is coming to look at it tomorrow but a few people have said the installer should put that right for free as it's still fairly new.
What do you think?

no, I don’t think after that amount of time it should be free.
Some people rock toilets, depending on their size and how they wipe etc ie by shifting all their weight over to one side and reaching behind them. All these things can loosen fittings.

Yeah he didn't specify any guarantee. Looking online for most bathrooms its a year or two.
I live alone so it hasn't had particularly heavy use either!
DF said he would expect a new toilet to last longer than that but maybe it's just easier to call a plumber

That’s long enough that the leak could be caused by a whole load of environmental and human issues, not just installation issues, so no I don’t think it should be free.

Nope. It's good that he's offered to come.
