Where would you install radiators??

Help!
We’re renovating this room into a playroom in a house we’ve bought and will shortly be moving into.
We’re planning to plaster the brick walls and ceiling, but it currently has no radiators (CH is in the shower room next door thankfully). We ideally want 1-2, but I’m not sure where to place them, where would you place them in this room?
TIA🙏🏼

One, Under the window.

Sorry I forgot to add that we want tall/slim upright radiators rather than the standard wide/low style in most houses.

If you want vertical radiators, you might need two as in my experience they don't throw out as much heat (although I may be wrong on this - could just be my kitchen is colder!). You could have one either side of the window, possibly. But if it were me I would go with the PP's suggestion of a long horizontal one under the window in a modern, tubular design.

Long low one under the window.

Possibly also a tall slim one on the wall where that chest of drawers is.

Standard wide/low radiator offer higher BTU

There's a reason why they are placed under windows - the air nearest the windows is coldest, so as the hot air rises from the radiator it hits the colder air, which helps circulate the warm air out into the room and heats the room up faster and with less energy needed.

Also you're not likely to put furniture there, and block the radiator off.

As others have said - long one under the window. You'll benefit more from it and it doesn't get in the way of the furniture.

Sorry, but vertical ones are a bit of an eye-sore and I imagine get annoying when you want to move furniture around.

I have a long one under the window in my dining room and it definitely helps combat the cold from the very large window!

I would put them on internal/stud walls if possible, but you may need reinforcement if they are heavy as stud walls won't always take the load.

Reason being if you put them on the outer walls a lot of the heat goes into heating the outer wall and outside, whereas on the internal stud wall it stays in the house.

In my house I have 11 radiators of which 7 are mounted on stud walls (as part of the original house design) so it is defintitely possible to do this.

Thanks everyone! I’m definitely thinking a horizontal tube radiator under the window after your suggestions.
