Continuing the great clean up/declutter.

Please tell me it's OK to put things in landfill.

I have things which hang around as I'm not sure whether to sell/charity shop /throw away.

Board games and jigsaws I have no idea whether all the pieces are there. Other stuff I'm not sure where all the bits are.

Clothes I put on Vinted ages ago which haven't sold - can I charity shop these yet?

Random bits and bobs someone might find useful but no idea who or where.

It could all be done in a couple of trips to the tip but I have guilt.

It is ok to chuck this stuff out.

I'm in the same position so I sympathise, but there's not point it all taking up space in your house.

Off to the tip with you!

Definitely okay. Personally I put cardboard jigsaws into cardboard recycling and plastic toys to tip into hard plastics, makes me feel better that they have another chance at life!

How about 'really good boxes that might come in handy'

if It’s incomplete jigsaws I’d put in recycling. If stuff is ok, I’d leave out the front for someone to take, or put on FB marketplace that people can just come and grab stuff? That’s what people where I live do. Some charities send you bags to fill with clothes and then they collect them.

It is okay chuck things out. Try to leave it by the kerb for someone to pick up and most probably it will be gone very soon. Some people pick stuff up for themselves, some are trying to sell it on eBay or something. When we were moving we filled a 6 yard skip full, and that is already after all the ebay sales/vinted/donations, but it was then collected only half full - as folks with vans have fished out everything with the tiniest bit of metal in it (for scrap) and each and every piece of fabric (to sell by weight).

It’s ok to chuck things out, but see if there is a free ads/waste saver Facebook page locally to you. People have taken things I’d never have imagined that I was throwing away.

If you can't sell it,donate it or give it away for free then it needs to go to the tip. Don't feel guilty op.
