Taking out two 60cm width larder units for a 90cm fridge freezer. How do you make the gap look okay?

We're considering the above but does it not look messy? Kitchen is 12 years old so can't buy any filler pieces easily. Has anyone done this?

Get one of those baskets on wheels that would fit in. Keep herbs or whatever in it.

If its freestanding then you’ll appreciate the wiggle room. Then add in: freestanding shelves, veg basket etc

Bottle rack?

Get a separate freestanding fridge and freezer 55-60cm width each and save the trouble?

I would just have it in the middle?

Space for the ironing board?

AnSolas · 28/08/2023 12:33

Are you keeping the 30cm as usable space or are you trying to just block it off?
What material are the doors and carcasses
If you are taking out a divider can you get a carpenter to cut the divider and/ or 60 cm doors down to 15cm shelving on either side setback into the empty void

I got this sort of thing for the side of ours when we changed things around and had a small gap.

We have a 30cm pull out larder unit which I'd be lost without.

Thanks everyone (posted as leaving the house so I've just seen these). The larder units currently house 2 x fridge freezers so replacing with like for like or one fridge and one freezer are options but pros and cons to both. Other option is just one free standing f/f and convert the other unit for more storage.

Arm, I've a run of 4 x tall units and then worktop and units below. So a free standing 90 cm wide one would be between a tall unit and a worktop height one. Do you need to keep some space either side of the body (I know they're deeper for the doors) so could it be a 30cm gap rather than 15cm either side? Gap would really need to be between the tall units, I think 🤔
