Kitchen cupboard doors

I painted the doors a couple of years ago and recently freshened them up. I thought getting a clear varnish would help protect them from chipping. However it's dried with a horrible brown tinge and the coverage looks awful. The doors are a bit rubbish anyway so I'm just going to buy new ones.
As far as I know it was a B&Q kitchen.

Do I need to get doors from there? We have Wickes locally too or is there someone online I can buy from. How do I measure the doors accurately. Is it best to measure the back of the door or the gap in the cabinet itself. As it's measured in mm I'm not sure.
Any advice would be most welcome

Doors are usually in standard sizes. Wall cabs mostly 700mm or 900mm tall, and 500mm or 600mm wide, also 300mm, 400mm, 800mm and other widths

Widths actually measure slightly less so there is a gap to prevent them hitting each other.

Start by measuring yours.

Also measure the distance from the top and bottom of the floor, to the centre of the hinge. They vary.

You can get standard sized doors very easily, there are ebay suppliers. DIY sheds are cheaper than glossy showrooms.

People refitting their kitchens sometimes sell them. There are few buyers as they are heavy and only perfect doors are wanted.

White is sometimes cheapest.

They are very easy to remove and fit

Please post some photos of your hinges.

You can also get them made to measure.

Flat laminated doors are very durable.

Moulded vinyl wrap aren't.

My favourite supplier has gone out of business so I don't know a recommendation. What town are you in?

Amazing thank you.
I've just measured and the doors are all 715mm tall with widths varying from 295 up to 600 so have I over measured and they should be 700 and 300 rather than the random numbers I have
We're in Swansea so DIY stores are limited to B&Q and Wickes.
I've removed them all before to paint so I'm happy to do this myself.

My husband doesn't date leave the house in case I do something else
I'll be resealing the shower tomorrow when I figure out how to work the gun.

I have not measured mine, but this is an example of a "standard" drilling for a hinge from one supplier. They can vary with age. Whatever you get, it will be easiest if you measure your old doors and get new ones to fit. You can drill your old cabinets if necessary, or sometimes order doors with non-standard holes, but choose the easiest option.

IKEA may be different.

I think 715mm may be the standard height now.

Dealers may call a door "300mm width" even if it really measures 295.

To allow for a slight gap.

Swansea probably has timber yards and trade suppliers that might have better prices. They are usually hidden down potholed lanes or on industrial estates. I know a dealer that buys truckloads of end-of-range or last-year's designs.

It is especially important to know all your sizes.

These are the hinges. All 100mm from the bottom of the doors

If you can't get doors the same, it is much easier to drill the cabinet sides.

Jig costs a few pounds.

Thank you for your help. Quick trip to B&Q and 1k lighter.

That'll teach me to mess with varnish 🙄
