What date did you buy your house?

Just for interest to see who’s been in their house for a long time.

6th September 1991 for me

Jan 2015

October 2000. I'd never lived anywhere more than 4 years previously.

Not as a security question but only when buying house insurance and the maximum they ask is 9+ years.

If they can find TroysMammy anywhere on the internet other than Mumsnet it won't be me.

8th (I think or maybe 9th) October 2014. No plans to move until the kids are all grown up

May 2015.

Need to downsize in the next couple of years though. Too many bedrooms now my eldest has moved out.

Love this house.

I've lived in 4 houses since moving to the UK in 2010.

I bought my first flat in December 2010, when I married my 2nd wife we bought a house together in December 2014 and rented out the flats we owned before getting married. We bought our 2nd house together in October 2018 which is currently being sold and since separating I've bought a house this August 2024. Our first house we rented out for 2 years until we sold it to the tenant.

One look at the electoral register would tell them that in 99% of cases.
