Taken down a conservatory?

My conservatory is shit. Built with soft wood 20+ years ago it is rotten in places with cracked panels etc.

I would like to replace it with an open porch so with a roof/ timber frame that I can dry laundry under. It’s an L shaped building

Has anyone done anything similar? Do you think I could keep the dwarf wall and top with railway sleepers to create bench style seating?

Without pictures it’s pointless.
Sounds perfectly reasonable though. What would be the roof material?

Post some pictures

So like a shed roof with osb panels and felt on timber uprights or with battens and a polycarb roof like a car port?
For timber you need 4x4 fenceposts ideally concreted in at at least 60cm deep - we did that at the back of our deck to hold sturdy trellis. If your old base is concrete and in good nick, you can get bolt down post holders.
I like the wall/seat idea but the width might not be enough to be comfy and you’ll have to board over the top/ fill the gap between the inner and outer wall. You would need something like waterproof osb cut to size and yacht varnished or you could do it with decking but that would be a pita to cut dozens of small pieces to bridge the gaps.

Meant to say that I doubt a railway sleeper would be wide enough to cover the top of the wall and two would overhang by too much. How about small paving slabs? They could be mortared onto the bricks.

I’m picturing something like this

I will post some pictures when I get home I am at work today. My initial though was dwarf wall top with railway sleepers. Chunky timber frame supported by posts. Roof a lightweight metal sheeting something like this or perhaps powder coated aluminium https://www.roofingsuperstore.co.uk/product/corotile-lightweight-metal-roofing-system-charcoal.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjw0IGnBhDUARIsAMwFDLnZ5X5fRowsgoox3uqnxOQSlP8Ho3FvX5PFIXphCoYjTWu6B-nuO84aArLcEALw_wcB
