Hi, I am in dilemma as to which wall paint colour to go in my living room. It’s north east facing with a big skylight as such the room has got good light…the decorators start painting within 2 days and I am yet to decide on paint colour. I looked a nutmeg white, timeless, almond white and just walnut but so far none of them seem to be looking good. I thought Almknd white will look good but it’s looking too creamy/yellowish….the only furniture which I have at the moment which I am going to reuse is a beige sofa. Please if you all can suggest a good wall paint colour which is not too over bearing and will make the room look bright and happy it’s going to be tremendously helpful for me..I am attaching a picture of my room for reference

Am almost on verge to finalise this as I find it beautiful but just wonder why it’s looking so yellowish in my living area..😞

Paints are hard work. We had our new house painted recently and my favourite colour was coastal grey, which looked like a very bluey grey. The sample on the wall also looked like a bluey grey. Once the room was done, it was blue with no hints of grey!

any hints of grey/yellow in this ?

Wimborne white is great - you can just get it colour matched, I did with crown and it’s indistinguishable from my fb tester. I have used it for all my woodwork and ceilings as did not want a stark white in a very old house.

I love FB white tie as it just has such a soft warm glow. I haven’t tried colour matching that - just bought FB.

The palest shade of Bleached Lichen reads white, but isn't. We have it on the outside of the house and it could be jarring if it was a true PBW, but it has a slight warmth that works well with oiled windows.

@Lookingatthesunset thanks for liking the tiles. I was almost thinking that I made a wrong choice and should have opted for Matt finish or the laminate. My husband got skirting done with tile finish itself, I would have liked wooden finish though…I am just hoping after painting the room comes out well… still finding it hard to choose..I am liking so many colours and pro that’s the problem can’t decide which one will go in that room..lol
