What's lighter than Natural Calico?

Can anybody recommend a paint colour- preferably Dulux but open to suggestions- that is tonally similar to Natural Calico but just a bit lighter?

We've got a fairly long lounge with one south facing window at one end and no other natural light. It does get nice light but can feel quite dark and dull by late afternoon. At the moment it's something like Chic Shadow and I just find it depressingly grey in the naffer weather. We're planning to repaint so our long wall (with a fireplace) is sage green, and I want to put a natural/beige colour on the rest of the walls which goes up the stairs as well.

Parents have natural calico which I like but think it will be a bit dark in my room plus can look a bit yellow? I've got testers for white cotton, gentle fawn, and natural hessian but the white I think feels TOO white, and the others feel too dark.

Can anybody please recommend a lighter shade that's still sort of natural linen/canvas sort of colour?

I tried loads of samples in my hunt for the perfect off white for a north / south aspect property. If you're looking for something light but warm, Chalky Downs 6 or Salisbury Stones 6 might be worth a look, or one of the Subtle Ivory shades - all Dulux.

(I went for New Meringue in the end, which may not be warm enough for you, but it's a lovely colour I think - a neutral cream, not too yellow or grey, with a very subtle green undertone - and works in every room.)

What about Timeless?

I love Egyptian Cotton - not sure how it compares to the other shades mentioned here but I think it's the perfect warm neutral.

Yes I've used timeless for this. Lighter and less yellow than calico.

I have gentle fawn in my north-facing dining room and it's a lovely, grown up cool toned pink in there, but way darker than I think you're looking for. I had a tester for natural calico too and it's far lighter than gentle fawn. I also had a tester for natural hessian which was also darker, and tbh it looked quite nasty in that room.

Egyptian Cotton is also gorgeous but also darker than natural calico.

Hmm. Thanks all. Definitely some helpful comments and some suggestions for colours we've not even heard of. Off to the shops in a minute so am going to have a look out for these. I had a look at them all online last night but it's so hard to know because they all looked a bit like a pale yellow to me but maybe that's just my phone settings. I'm going to try to get testers if I can as particularly interested to see the chalky downs 6.

I've seen Timeless recommended a lot but people seem to feel it can look a bit pink?

I think what's not helping is I long for things like gentle fawn and the other slightly darker neutrals but DH feels it will feel a bit dingey like it does now because they'll be the same darkness just beige instead of grey when we're down trying to brighten and freshen it up. I do probably agree but all the lighter ones we look at just seem a bit yellow. Hopefully one of these suggestions might be The One.

Little Greene "Hollyhock".
Lovely light neutral with no yellow.

Timeless is an off white with a brown undertone. It's super light. I have it on the ceiling and woodwork in a bedroom with teal walls. It is a soft white as opposed to the bright white you get with pure brilliant white.

I’ve got chalky downs 6 in the bedroom, and dulux heritage ash white in the living room. Both lovely “stoney” earthy whites, not yellowish and not grey.

We went for Dulux Lambswool. I was worried it might be a bit orange but it looks lovely!
