As a buyer, does anything need to be sent by post (to me)?

I've just sold my property where my solicitors sent draft contracts to sign fairly early on by mail and am now in no mans land waiting on my purchase (in a holiday chalet right now).
So as a buyer is there anything the solicitor needs to send me by post because I don't actually have an address right now. My post has been forwarded onto my mum's which is an hour's drive away but she's also going away this week.
I've emailed the solicitor but probably won't hear back for another few days at least.
So far, the buying process has been very slow and we're 7 weeks into a no chain, no mortgage purchase where the sellers have only just sent back the contract pack. The house is empty and has been done up by a property investment company and I thought it should be pretty quick.

Contract to sign.

Ok, I've not had this yet so guess that's another thing that will take time.

I was in exactly the same boat as you - staying in a holiday lodge as my sale completed prior to my purchase. The solicitor was able to email me all the documents that I needed to sign - contract, land registry docs, mortgage etc. I just had to find somewhere to print them out, sign them and get them witnessed and then send back to her via post.

Most solicitors email documents these days

Oh thank God it's not just me!
I didn't want to lose my sale and this buying process is taking forever.
Luckily, it's actually quite a nice lodge but weather pretty crap. 😄

I just looked at rentals and there are so few around and even they look worse than the holiday lodge!

Just think of it as a holiday - you’ll be in your lovely new house before you know it!
