Kitchen floor vinyl that doesn't tear when moving oven/washing machine etc?

We had some kitchen Lino or vinyl laid last year, they didn't do a great job but that's another story. First time I move the oven, the vinyl tears like dragging a knife across the surface of a cheese cake. I'm careful now but it did it again when I had to move the washing machine. The oven, to be fair, is old and has a jagged metal base so it was bound to happen but the washing machine doesn't.

Previously the vinyl was very thin and cheap, hard and shiny, but I don't remember tearing it up when I had a wash down. This one looks nicer but it's soft and rubbery. It seems only suitable for fitted kitchens where you don't have to move any appliances to clean underneath or down the side.

Is there a recommended vinyl for non-fitted kitchens where you have to move stuff around?

I don't know about vinyls, I think they're always going to be soft, but our karndean is rock solid and now ten years old with no damage apart from where I dropped a 10" knife point down into it! I should probably swap that tile out for a fresh one actually, but it's only a 5mm ding.

Another vote for Karndean

A vinyl fitter we used once, recommended squirting fairy liquid on the vinyl when moving appliances in and out of position, made it easier to slide them without tearing the vinyl. Clear it up well though, as it’s slippery.

Tilt the appliance and shove a towel or mat under them drag it out.

Get some washing machine sliders off Amazon

Thanks, seems it's too late for us really but I may take up some of these suggestions. Karndean has been suggested but I think it would if not tear then scratch with things being dragged across it.
