Hello All,

Apologies, I am completely a crap in interiors and have no knowledge about it. Please advise if I can paint these kitchen cupboards. Also I would want to get my entire house painted, which is around 900 sq ft, how much should it cost out of your experience.

Appreciate your help.

If you don’t do much painting, kitchen cupboards is not where I would start. It’s a difficult surface, and the preparation and paint are quite specialised.

Rather than replacing the doors ( that’s a decent size kitchen) you can get the doors resprayed in situ which is cheaper and less hassle. A re spray company will use proper paint which shouldn’t chip and will give a resilient surface.

No will not do it myself, will ask the painter to do it.

When we’ve had rooms redecorated recently it’s taken 1 person about a week per room. This was for a thorough job included filling cracks and prepping, sanding and painting all woodwork and then the walls. We paid £200 per day, so £1000 per room. This is SE England. Just make sure the person quoting £120 per day is experienced, insured and has reviews. You get what you pay for.

In our old house we had all the kitchen cabinets professionally sprayed to change the colour. Took about 3 days and cost £2500 (about 3/4 years ago).

Sure, thanks a lot.

@HarrietStyles £1k per room that’s crazy expensive. I thought my quote for 5k for whole house was too expensive and waiting to get more quotes done but from talking to others I’m starting to think this is how much it’ll cost 😬

Keep away from frence chic. I painted my kitchen v33 renovation paint from B&Q. I'm halfway through. Google it. My cupboards were oak I hated the colour they look like a new kitchen now. Make sure you sugar soap then light sand. Also rustoleum spray cabinet handles depending on what type you have.
