Electrical question

I'm in the middle of a bathroom refurb and the plasterer spilt a small amount of liquid which has leaked through the ceiling below in the vicinity of the pendant light. The light has stopped working. I'm guessing its fused, but none of the switches in the fuse box have tripped, and the other lights on the circuit are working ok. Do I just need to wait for it to dry out or will I need to get someone to change a fuse in the switch, or something else?

Wait for it to dry out.
If it hasn't dried out then the fuse in the fuse box might blow, but you can probably fix that yourself.

There won't be any fuses in the circuit, if the liquid had caused a short then the trip would have gone.
Most likely unrelated and the bulb has gone but you can double check by switching off the circuit at the consumer unit (if you're at all unsure switch off the big red main switch) then unscrew the rose of the pendant and check for moisture.

Liquid was dripping from the bulb so it definitely got wet. It flickered a bit before it went off.

The bulb will have died.
It should dry out if you give it time. Make sure that the light is switched off before changing the bulb.

Thanks, yes, it's working again now. I turned the circuit off then took the light fitting apart and wiped off all the liquid that was inside (it was watery plaster, so sticky). I also changed the bulb.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
