Unit for washing machine in bathroom

I am lucky enough to be buying a house in France. It’s been partly renovated (all the big jobs done) but my husband and I are finishing things off.

The washing machine will be in the bathroom. Currently, there is a wide table in there that’s been converted to house a sink, then a gap at the side (with plumbing) for the washing machine.

I am considering buying some (possibly kitchen) units with an integrated washing machine along the whole width, and adding a countertop sink for the bathroom.

Has anyone used kitchen units in a bathroom successfully? Or can you think of another way to ‘hide’ the washing machine?

I’ve just seen pictures of someone stacking washing machine and tumble drier in a cupboard purpose built and with a big mirror on the front.

What about the old fashioned curtain option such as in picture 3 here? If I was in France I would expect to see this (in kitchens anyway) as it's still very popular in older properties.

I found this property on the Rightmove Android app and wanted you to see it: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/86135505

Thanks for the replies. I considered the curtain option, and have not ruled it out, but thought that if I have to build or find some kind of frame to house the washing machine on which to attach the curtain, I might also be able to source a unit with a door.

I had a look on Pinterest and discovered a built in washer and vanity is quite common in Europe, so I might be able to buy that after all!

German make Schuller does utility room cupboards and can match with kitchen units. Not cheap though. IKEA does appliance cupboards
