Adhesive pads to raise chair height

I bought new dining chairs which seem to be a little low for my dining table. Has someone used felt / silicone sticky pads to raise chair legs? The legs are metal and 15mm square. So looking for something cut to size or which i can cut myself, but need at least 1 to 2 cm height added. Ideally dont want to have to saw off dining table feet.

Thank you.

Have a look at elephant feet. You may find something more stable, designed for the job. Alternatively, would a chair cushion pad raise the seat enough? Safer, cheap and easily matched to your decor or removed if circumstances dictate.

It'll be far easier to add seat cushions than to fiddle around trying to fix bits to the chair legs and keep them level.

Hopeful bump for other options.

@40friedfish the seat cushions wouldnt look aesthetically consistent with the chrome and grey dining chairs. I feel like an idiot not checking the seat height before i ordered them and too late to exchange or return. Even a 2cm slightly unobtrusive boost in height would be great

We have added felt or rubber pads to various bits of furniture and they all fall out of place and get covered in muck very quickly. I have seen what I can only describe as silicone socks for furniture. If you can get the felt adhesive pads then put the silicon socks on them, it should stop the pads from wearing off.

Of course they won’t look attractive.

The least attractive option would be sawing down your dining table height, if possible.

Alternatively you can buy what looks like plastic rubber nipples to go under furniture. If you are able to drill them into the chair legs rather than just use adhesive, that could be a more permanent, slightly less mucky option.

I'm not sure if something like this would work www.ebay.co.uk/itm/323492310138?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ltEi0WmFQi2&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=5RZ1b2ppQnu&var=512610755481&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY. The smallest size is 20mmx20mm. We have something to raise the height of an outdoor table which works well but a) the legs are about 6cm x 6cm so it's easier to find something the right size and which doesn't stick out like a saw thumb and b) doesn't get moved in the way a chair does so doesn't need to be robust enough to be constantly moved like a chair does.
