Survey - when would you hear from buyer if an issue

Buyer had their survey done last Tuesday and we are using the same company so you will get the survey back in a week so assume my buyer has it now. We aren't expecting that there are any issues but I'm such a worrier that if the buyer was concerned with anything that may come up how quickly would they do you think be in touch with the estate agent?

We have our survey on the one we are buying tomorrow. Hope that's okay as it's essentially on a hill and I know that the boundary wall at the end of the garden suffered subsidence but has now been fully fixed through the vendors insurance

I'm also wondering..!

how long is a piece of string tbh. Some CFs might wait until the last Min to try to knock off money but if everything is proceeding and you don’t hear otherwise then assume all OK. We just had our survey back and explicitly told the EA and solicitor that we had no issues to raise with the vendor. But not everyone will do that. We’ve had buyers before just say nothing and nothing is raised!

I personally reviewed the survey report on the property we're buying the day after I received it and contacted the AE immediately to raise issues.

My buyer, got in touch about a week and a half after the survey was done, but I don't know when they received it.

I've just been up to the property we are buying as survey being done today but don't know what time. No one was there but the garage door is now half open so I'm guessing the surveyor hasn't been able to close it which could be concerning

Bought two houses and four surveys

First - big issues with poorly constructed extension. Left it to solicitor/agent to advise we were pulling out.

Second- no issues. I let vendor know myself that day. We bought the house.

Third - no issues. I let vendor know myself that day. Unfortunately the chain fell through lower down on this one.

Fourth - few minor issues ans I told the vendor that day. Within 24 hours she offered to sort them! I hadn't expected that reaction as we had a great deal (albeit house had been on market 18 months). She paid probably £600 ish for the bits to be completed. We bought and are still here 30 years later!
