Opinions - blue kitchen units with red accessories?

Purely fantasy stage here but want to get some feedback to see if I am onto something. My current kitchen is black, white and grey. I left it fairly neutral as we were selling it on but over time I have collected tonnes of red accessories for a bit more personality. Kettle, toaster, mugs, utensils plant pots and a large collection of vintage red tins for storage.
If all goes to plan we will be moving soon onto a property that needs a whole new kitchen. DH and I have become weirdly obsessed with navy blue kitchen units. They seem to be in at the moment. (I haven't even thought about floors, walls , countertops etc)
So we keep seeing units like the ones below (kitchen not going to be as big in the ones in the pic but gives an idea.) Whenever we see an ad on TV or happen to be in DIY store we get drawn to them - I know we are strange.
I have started thinking that the blue units with red accents would actually look good but am I mad? I think I am biased and also I can't picture it. But then a tiny voice in my head keeps trying to say it's genius.

Honestly it’s a kettle and toaster. You’ve not even moved yet never mind organised a new kitchen.Confused

I reckon that would look great! And nothing wrong with a daydream. Sorry about other poster being a Debbie downer

I like it. You’d have to make sure it doesn’t tip over into a seaside/nautical theme, unless you like that!

Some dark and/or rustic wood would also look nice. Perhaps instead of the white worktop and gingery wood doors.

Very patriotic!!

It wouldn’t be my taste and my immediate thought was of the Union Jack colours and associations of patriotism, royal family etc. But if you like it then go for it.

I wouldn’t choose the colour of my kitchen units based on the colour of my accessories though!

I like the units and the red accessories, however it might look a bit Union Jack 🇬🇧!
If you love the navy blue kitchen then go for it and see what the red things look like. If you don’t like it then in the great scheme of things, with the cost of a new kitchen, buying a new kettle and toaster is a drop in the ocean and you can put the canisters in a cupboard.

I like the colours in your pics since it doesn't come across as true navy, more as a grayish kind of blue. The contrast with red accessories wouldn't bother me, but in the first picture the kitchen cabinets really really don't go with the brown doorframes!

I’m in the midst of having a navy kitchen installed, but we’ve got oak tops and antique brass switches/ handles/ taps etc. A lot goes with navy so if red is your thing then go for it. At least they’re easily changed if you change your mind!

I had a navy kitchen last year, with wood tops and handles, and black appliances and gadgets. I love it.

Funny a few people mentioned union Jack because that just crossed my mind as well haha. I knew I'd seen the colour combo somewhere must have had a weird mind blank to it.
Thanks for your optionions your kitchen sounds lovely.
