If I paint this, do I have to paint that? (And everywhere else too?) pics inc

This door (and most others!) is a high traffic area as has dents/marks that I really notice and would like to tidy up-but if I paint here should I then paint all around (and where do you stop? All skirting? Door frames even when they’re not that bad like in one picture?)
It’ll be the first time I’ve decorated since they were put in new so what paint do I use? Doesn’t look like gloss to me?

Matte gloss is a thing. Although I googled it and it just came up with matte wood paint. Or maybe it was matte eggshell?

Anyway, it's wood paint that behaves like eggshell that is not shiny.

I've recently used Dulux Satinwood on my doors, frames and skirting. Quick clean and a light sanding, and used a small sponge roller. Did 2 coats with light sanding in between.

I'm not sure on the type of paint, but these things can spiral if you want everything to match perfectly.

In my mind, I'll often touch up little dents and scuffs like that as, although they're not perfect in comparison to the surrounding areas, at least the touch up is the right colour!

I’d touch up any dinks to be honest rather than paint it all.

first though, get one of those magic sponges and wipe all your paintwork - you’ll be amazed at how much brighter they look.
i need to redo mine, there is a tide line of paw prints all round my house at ds’s level. And it’s amazing how mucky a door can get considering although they are high traffic, it’s not like we stand there to eat our dinner.
<adds to increasing list of jobs>

@thenewaveragebear1983 ooh I’ve not heard of a magical sponge?!
and great, will get going with the dents/scuffs first before going full on mental (which I really don’t want to do!).
Thanks all!

These

don’t do chalky finish emulsion or you’ll take it all off, but you can do wipeable emulsion and woodwork. Just wet the sponge

It looks like you have satin wood OP. Magic sponges are your friend. I have btl properties and in between tenants always go over walls and doors with a magic sponge if they have any marks on them.
