Understairs loo/cloakroom

We currently have a tiny understairs loo (90 x 90nm) and I would like to extend it a bit further under the stairs so it’s about 140cm in length. I can’t figure out whether there will be enough head height under the sloping bit of stairs for the loo to tuck under (example pic attached of what I am going for). Currently the underside of the stairs is boarded up and there is shoe cupboard.
I would like to covert the remainder of the under stairs area into pull out drawers.
TIA

I too would like to know how people achieve this sort of thing!

Those are very smart in comparison to some of the ones I have seen.

Can you switch it so loo is in the standing height and sink under stairs?

That's what we did with ours

Look at the current sloping ceiling in the loo. Take a large piece of cardboard and hold it 20-30cm forward of the existing ceiling in the location where the new ceiling would be (relative to the loo). See if you have enough space. I strongly suspect you won't, especially for a tall man to stand.

The room looks much deeper thank ours from the entrance to the loo - is the door straight off the hallway?

Yes, this what I want to check - I have since found a “formula” online that suggests it might work but I am not sure. The suggestion is that there should be 50cm from the edge of the loo to where you would stand and the ceiling height at that point should be 2m.

You just have to check your measurements and be careful with the sanitaryware (i.e. short projection toilet and small sink. We (and lots of neighbours) had a tiny loo like the pics you've attached. Ours was put in by previous owners and we had the toilet in the highest part with the sink on a false wall going under the stairs. Lots of neighbours had it the other way round, as you want, and it's a much better use of space imo.

You can get loos with washbasin on top of cistern. That might make a bit more space as would only one footprint.
