These are some of the 'posh' areas. Very nice, but not cheap:

Almost anywhere near the University, but also very expensive.
Mount Vernon has some lovely houses. Ditto Netherlee - both very desirable but expensive.
However, many of the 1930s suburbs are now popular with young families. The semis or flats (typical Glasgow 'four in a block') are spacious, well-built and often come with gardens. They are also often priced to suit first-time buyers.
For example, in Knightswood: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/131292191#/?channel=RES_BUY
Riddrie and nearby parts of north Carntyne - eg the Warriston St area - are also worth a look (they have similaar 1930s housing). There are many other similar areas, eg parts of Cardonald:

Dennistoun used to be rough but is now trendy, with some beautiful old tenements, if that's your thing.
But really, it depends on what you want. Inner city buzz? Beautiful old building? Quiet family suburb? Long-established middle-class outer areas (eg Milgavie)? Transport links for work?
As you know, Glasgow is a big and immensely varied city, where very smart houses can be literally a stone's throw away from poor and run-down streets. That's part of its charm, but I think it means you have to spend quite a bit of time finding an area that suits YOU, and then working quite hard - keeping a lookout on Rightmove etc - to find a house or flat there.
