Long & very narrow en-suite

Anyone have a long but very narrow en-suite? It will be for occasional use. Does it work ok?
We are looking to repurpose some dead space - the dimensions are 90cm wide and 380cm long.
The doorway will be approx midway on the 380cm length wall, so you can turn right for the shower and left for the loo, sink along the long wall, IYSWIM.
The shower will, therefore, be 90cm wide but can be quite deep.
I will try to add a pic.
TIA

Can't see why that wouldn't work. Looks fine to me.

We had one in a previous house similar to yours with the door in the middle. It was absolutely fine.

That’s reassuring - thank you all!

This is almost the exact layout of ours, although the window is behind the toilet. We have a shower door that is jointed in the middle and folds in on itself. Works well in the small space

Thank you! So difficult to visualise the space - sounds so narrow at less that a metre width so it’s very helpful to hear from others that have had bathrooms of a similar dimension

@iwantabreakfastpantry It definitely can work. However you need your shower door to open wide. So you need to think about whether it will clear the sink or not. You have shown a small sink but it’s close to the shower. I would avoid shower doors that restrict entry.

Our ensuite is slightly wider (1.1m), but only 2.4 long. Window in on the short wall (opposite the shower) but otherwise very similar design.
Can you shorten the ensuite slightly, and put a cupboard at the end, accessible from the bedroom?

Ours is pretty much the same as yours. I think out shower cubicle is 900mm square at one end. Sliding door in the middle opposite the sink then toilet other end. It's absolutely fine. Shower feels roomy.

Ours is almost identical, just the window is behind the toilet rather than on the side. It works fine for us.

A sliding door will have an absolute max opening of around 450 mm or less. They don’t slide the whole width of the room. They have to fit into a smaller recess with tiles making it smaller than 900mm. That’s not much space for a bigger guy. Get the door fully opening. You can also get slim sinks. A 500 deep one will leave less 400 mm max to shimmy past it to get to the shower. Try and find a narrow trough style one. Think where the tap will go. Where the water and waste pipes will go.

I also might reduce the length and add a cupboard to an adjacent room/space. Depends on cost and need for extra storage though.

We had one that was 3m by 0.8 and it was perfect we made it a wetroom. Our door opened outwards onto corridor in toilet and sink end. Had a narrow sink. Underfloor heating and a shower alcove and it was really plush. Would highly recommend

I am really grateful for the thumbs up for the dimensions, photos, top tips and suggestions- all incredibly helpful.
Great idea about the shower doors and clearance; slim line sink; sliding door versus opening; extra cupboard - the last one is a revelation.
