Log burner installation

We live in a 7 year old Bovis home and my husband would really like to get a log burner installed. We don't have a chimney so I'm wondering how feasible it would actually be and the cost if so, has anyone else done this? I know external flues can be fitted but I think that might look really odd on the outside of a new build. What are people's thoughts? Many thanks.

You could have the flue running on the inside, you get them insulated of course, then you have the little metal 'chimney' poking out the roof but that would involve going through the roof and second floor which Im guessing would be more expensive than going to the outside.

Having the twin wall flue on the outside looks fine and will be cheaper than putting it through the inside if you live in a house rather than a one storey home. Also, if you go through the inside you have to ‘miss’ the joists in the first floor ceiling so you may have to have more joints in the flue which can make it harder for sweeping. I suggest getting someone in to discuss the feasibility and costs.

I've got a flue on the outside. It goes right up to the roof so that the smoke comes out in the same place that it would through an ordinary chimney.
