Can anyone advise where to start with pricing up/choosing velux blinds please? We will have four windows to buy for.

I have no idea of what to expect re costs or what the various types or features to look for are!

Any advice appreciated. We are based in West Yorks, near North Yorks border should anyone have specific recommendations.

If you or your partner is electrically minded, then the electric velux blinds directly from Velux are easy to fit yourself. Not too expensive either.

Get the code from the window frame, then go to the Velux website and find which blinds fit the windows you've got. You can then shop around online for the best price for the ones you want. They are really easy to fit, I am no DIY expert and have managed it easily.

Hmm we are both pretty hopeless tbh.

Thanks both for the advice

Real Velux blinds are rip-off £££. Get the code off the end bar of the window & go on Ebay. There's loads of alternatives on there. That's where I've got mine from and they're still perfect 20yrs later.

If you can assemble IKEA furniture you can fit velux blinds.
We've got regular ones, ordered from velux. Blackout ones are very efficient if you want darkness or to block heat out.
I bought 4 around 14 years ago. Replaced one last year as the strings perished.
