Painting kitchen cabinets

Sorry, I know this has been discussed a million times. I have some new white kitchen cabinets doors which I'm putting on my old cupboards (it's not the main kitchen, more like a little prep kitchen/utility). I am tight on money, so want to paint some of the extra bits like the plinths, instead of replacing them (they are cream at the moment). What's the best paint to use? I've had Zinsser recommended, but I'm not sure which one. Is it the All in One?
Thank you.

BIN is the one that's recommended but it's harder to get a good finish. 123 is a dream to apply but might not stand up to scuffs etc as well as BIN.

You might find it hard to match the white and the finish if only painting odd bits.

Thank you. I know that the white might be a bit different. I'm going to try this first, if it looks awful I shall buy some bits.
@CellophaneFlower is the BIN just a primer? Or can I use it on its own?

I did my front door with Zinsser. I used 123 for primer and Allcoat exterior gloss water based. 4 coats of the top coat, and it's standing up really well to being repeatedly banged and occasionally kicked or knocked with stuff. It's really nice paint to use.

I wouldn't use the 123 as a top coat - I don't think it even comes in colours.

Oh sorry - you don't need colour, but I still wouldn't use just 123 alone personally.

What about just all coat? It's an exterior paint, but does that matter?

They're both just primers, but definitely worth using before your final colour. I've just used 123 on my mahogany effect window frames, they needed at least 2 coats. Virtually no smell and easy to clean brushes after. Only time will tell how well it holds up though!

Just to add, they do a 123 plus now, so that might be worth checking out too.

I've not looked into this 1. I've never been a fan of all in 1 things as always feel 1 product can never be quite as good as 2! I don't like to cut corners with prep, as it's the most important part I feel.

Allcoat exterior SATIN is the one I used on my daughters kitchen cabinets. As a PP mentioned it was an absolute pleasure to apply. We got a great finish with it using short pile rollers. It hasn't chipped at all. We washed and lightly sanded the existing wooden cabinets

I wouldn't use the gloss in a kitchen. It would be more likely to show marks and imperfections. I also think it would look a bit odd.

It's an interior paint too.

Thanks all. I think I'm going to try the all in one. 😁
