Fenix Kitchen - friend or foe?

Hello,
Does anyone have any experience of having a Fenix kitchen installed? We have been using our newly installed kitchen for just a week now and the corners of units are already cracking either as a result of poor workmanship or else just very very vulnerable to any kind of use.

The kitchen hasn’t been snagged yet - but I have already counted 20+ defects. As the joiner who made and installed it is a friend (I’m good friends with his partner and our kids play together), it’s a tricky situation to say the least. He has installed Fenix kitchens before but I didn’t inspect them (heavily pregnant and managing whole house renovation as well as own full time job at the time) so I trusted his experience and the fact that it’s practically impossible to find negative reviews of Fenix online.

We are so disappointed already - just a week in 🤦🏼‍♀️feeling it has been a huge waste of money - but perhaps it could be rectified?
What are other people’s experience of Fenix? Would love to know so I can either put my mind at rest or alternatively plan how to approach exhaustive snagging.
Thanks in advance!

Hello! Sorry it’s a reply on an old post 🙈 just wondered how you got on with rectifying your Fenix kitchen issues? Did you have the Fenix worktop as well as units? Dare I ask if you would / wouldn’t recommend it, and if you think the issues are due to the material or the maker? Thanks so much!

overall, I wouldn’t recommend it for a family kitchen. It is very vulnerable at corners especially and because ours is a bright colour, you see the the chips quite easily.
the installer rectified a lot of the issues but this meant replacing the worktop for a different material. Doors and drawers fronts had to be relaxed because the surface was bumpy (due to poor lamination). We had a French Polisher repair the chips and they told us that he repairs chips at the Fenix factory / showroom; so that explains a lot really! We still see chips appearing and the kitchen hasn’t even been in use for a year.
hope this helps!

That helps massively thank you! I was still on the fence about using it but it will be a family kitchen and your experience is pretty decisive. Sorry you’re having ongoing problems, how disappointing!
Many thanks again!
