Giving existing extension a facelift?

Has anyone done this and willing to show before and after pics? we’ve inherited an old 80’s extension and although structurally sound it’s quite ugly and has an old fashioned flat roof. Ideally would like to update the roof and maybe clad it as the brick work isn’t the neatest! Would be interested to see any similar projects?

Our extension was built by previous owners about 20 years ago. It was hideous, completely out of keeping with the rest of the house (which is 400 years old) and the window elevation was rotting.

We replaced the roof in 2018 and last year removed the frontage, replacing it with full height windows, losing the doors too as there's access at the opposite end (we also knocked through into the adjoining room).

Doing this has changed the way we live in the house as we never used the space before - now we sit there every day!

I'm adding a few before and after pics.

I should have said, our house is stone construction and the old extension frontage did incorporate some stone. We have lost some of this in altering the window size etc but have retained a strip of stone each side (still to be finished as the weather got the better of us last year) as well some cladding we'll be adding externally above the windows. This will look about a gazillion times better than what I can only describe as the old green shed timbers used by the PO!

I don't have any before pics of the exterior (only ones taken during the demolition of the frontage) and no afters as the exterior is still awaiting completion.

Hopefully the interior before/after pics give some idea of what we've done.
