Best sage paint colours

I have bought a house which is covered in grey. Even the kitchen units are grey.

I am looking for a nice sage (or “dirty pale greige” as DH calls it) which is NOT a Farrow & Ball colour. I’ve been through the Homebase and Crown colour charts but the greens are a bit appley. Also, I’d like to avoid getting paint mixed as I tried that last year for a bluey white colour and ended up with 2 litres of sky blue paint.

Any good suggestions?

Dulux tranquil dawn

This is Mizzle.

It is F&B though, but a nice calming shade.

I went through 17 tester pots to find the right shade of sage

The perfect for us was
Laura Ashley Hedgerow

It was lovely.

Our kitchen is dulux gooseberry fool 4 - it’s definitely greenish but very much on the brown edge. A bit greener than it looks in these pics tbh. Got it mixed up in Brewers as homebase et al don’t have all the dulux 1-6 colour cards any more.

We’d also considered crown light fern: www.homebase.co.uk/crown-matt-emulsion-paint-light-fern-2.5-litres/13807017.html

www.littlegreene.com/boringdon-green-bathroom We have boringdon green in our sitting room and it’s lovely. DH nearly passed out at the price when he bought the paint but as soon as he started using it he said how fab the coverage was and we only needed two coats and he’ll never go back to Dulux.

Dulux tranquil dawn, or crown mellow sage

CCSS15 · 14/03/2023 15:18

Always French grey - it has such beautiful chalkiness

@LadyGardenersQuestionTime - your room looks lovely. Yes, the price is a bit of a shock at first! The coverage and pigmentation is great, I always use LG now.

How about Dulux Green Verditer (it does have to be mixed but it’s a really nice colour)

Dulux willow tree is almost exactly the colour of the original post boxes on here - not sure if that's what you mean by green background though. It's much less dirty greige than olive is.
