Light/white quartz worktop - will it stain?

We're renovating our kitchen and thinking about worktops. I would like a white (or light) marble effect quartz but am concerned that spilling red wine, turmeric etc. and not wiping it up immediately will permanently stain the worktop.

Anyone with a light quartz worktop care to comment? Or anyone with another type of worktop as we are open to other types (probably not wooden though).

I suppose the thing to do is buy some samples and spill things all over them, leave them for a bit and see what happens.

Hi - mine are ivory. I don’t think it would work with grey, unfortunately. I would look for a white-toned silestone instead.

Thanks. I was wanting a white base worktop with some other interest to it. Want a contrast to the pale grey and not to emphasise the grey as it isnt my preferred colour choice.

A blob of high alcohol hand sanitiser gets red wine and turmeric out of our white quartz

I have pure white quartz, cook a lot, and have kids - no stains! I have no wall cabinets on the wall you face as you come in, the white worktops and white walls and ceilings and no splashback (it’s a dulux scrubbable paint), it’s taken a dingy and quite small space from gloomy to bright and inviting. I’d choose mine again.
