Non standard door height

I'd like to get 4 new doors upstairs, white shaker style, one of them with frosted glass BUT. The door heights are all 1930 mm, and all doors I see are sold at the standard height of 1981mm.

I can't afford bespoke doors but can pay for someone to adjust them. Is it too much to take off the height? I'd be looking at removing 2.5cm from the top and from the bottom.

Is this wise?

You can usually take a fair amount of top and bottom and that would be absolutely fine, unless it's a fire door, in which case you would have to check with the door supplier and building regs.

you would need a decent carpenter to modify the doors, as you don't want to be taking material off the top, as you will notice this as the panels will all sit at different heights. the most you can get away with trimming off the bottom is maybe an inch or two. but you can cut out a section then reattach the bottom if this makes sense.

a fairly easy and quick job for a decent carpenter
