Do positive pressure ventilation systems really help that dramatically with mould?

It's basically a fancy way of opening a window with some duting to the centre of the house and a £20 fan in front of it.

Personally, installing one of these systems was far, far more effective than merely opening a window. So I think you’re being a little disparaging here, especially if you have no direct experience of having one in your house.

Ours didn’t cost anywhere near £1000. It was less than £500 including getting an electrician to install it, although it was around seven years ago.

I agree @Jellycats4life - the difference in venting windows (what we were trying for a long while before) and this isn’t comparable at all.
And the cold from venting / opening windows in each room vs. the cold from this (which I haven’t noticed any difference with actually?) isn’t a worthwhile comparison either.
You do pay more, but you pay for convenience with lots of things don’t you.
