Leak need to move out for repairs

Has anyone been through this. Shower in en-suite leaked behind the tiles in wall. Has spread to both bathrooms and two bedrooms and hallway.

We are family of 6. Two with special needs one with an assistance dog (but not a certified dog.) Insurance have agreed to rehouse us while work is done but there are no suitable properties anywhere within a 30 mile radius.

It's 6 weeks since leak was discovered and water turned off to that bathroom but we just can't find anywhere.

Airbnb's in this area unlikely to accept the dog and are unlikely to have 12 weeks (estimated time to dry out and refit) in a row with no bookings.

Any suggestions?

I feel your pain. I'm on month 4. I had to move out following an underfloor water leak affecting kitchen, utility, dining room, downstairs loo and hallway. We found a short let house to rent through an estate agents. The Airbnb's were horrifically expensive. Our cats had to go into a cattery which the insurance paid for. The insurance people must rent you a like for like house so, in our case, a 4 bedroom detached. Good luck!

Yes we have 5 bedroom detached but would be happy with 4 bedroom.

How is the cat getting on? We have a cat too she is 12 and has never been to a cattery. Will really miss the cat and the dogs if we can't bring them. Really hoping it's less than 4 months for us.

I have seen some companies deliver Kitchens and Bathrooms in a shipping container sited in the garden so you can stay at home whilst the work is done
