What needs doing to complete the wall

Hello I keep being told that the external wall of my property has not been finished . If i am looking to hire someone to complete the job then what should i be asking them to do as im not sure what needs doing to complete it.
Is it just a matter of painting it black ?
Can a plasterer complete it ?

Thank you

You had this work carried out yourself?
What have they one? And why? Looks like adding airbricks, but at different heights(?), a rather high silicon injection, and rendering from ground level up to the bottom edge of the original ‘pebble dash/wall rendering’.

I dont understand the answer. Are you saying that it needs

high silicon injection, and rendering from ground level up to the bottom edge of the original ‘pebble dash/wall rendering ?

Who is telling you and what’s their motive so doing so?

You can see the holes in the wall where I am presuming they have recently injected a silicon DPC. They have not filled in the holes, hence the comment ‘the wall needs finishing’.

The first picture shows a new airbrick in new cement render between ground height and original render.
The second picture shows a new airbrick placed into the original render and patched up.
It would appear that, unless there are steps in the ground level, that the airbricks and silicon injection holes do not align.

i dont know if silicone has been injected as i just moved there. is it just filling the holes ? and painting the grey bit ?

Are they actual holes or have they been filled and it can’t be seen on the photo? If real holes then yes they should be filled in.
Also the gate seems to have been moved leaving exposed brickwork. What can/will happen there is rain could penetrate behind the render and could make it deteriorate, so best to get that patched up also.
Personally I would not paint the lower render as it will undoubtedly peel/bubble and require maintenance over time.
The new render should be waterproof anyway.

what gate are you referring to ?

I agree with pp, it looks as someone put a Damp Proof Course in (they inject silicon into the wall to stop water rising up inside your wall) and 2 new airbricks (the bricks with the holes) and rendered/patched it all up in cement mortar. So there is an aesthetically unfinished look to it, as it does not match the original pebbledash. The injection holes may or may not be filled, so check, but probably it's just a case of them filled but not up to the level with wall. I personally hate DPC and the cement render is probably going to cause more trouble than it solves, but you should have been given the guarantee for it when you bought, you could get in touch with the damp proof company to check what they have done. But for aesthetics, painting it, maybe dark grey or glossy black, will probably make it look more finished.

Fence, whatever it is, the render is missing.
