Bedroom conundrum

Would you knock through into an airing cupboard and built in wardrobe to make a bedroom a bit bigger? It would also make the room easier to nicely fit a double bed in as it's an awkward fit due to two windows the door to the fitted wardrobe, radiator etc...it would go from 9ft x 10ft to around 11ft x 10ft for reference

Depends what storage is like elsewhere and whether this will be a main bedroom or occasional guest room.

If good storage elsewhere then yes.

If not and it's a guest room then no.

If you often need a double bed then perhaps

If its a guest room or a child who might like a double bed no

Most people need the storage

We did kind of this - two adjacent bedrooms had small single-door wardrobes in them, one opening into one room and one into the other, and we knocked them both through to make a larger space in the smaller room - it gave space for a bunk bed and in the future, a double. Made a big difference to the room. We didn’t need to knock into the airing cupboard though - couldn’t manage without that storage. The little rooms we lost were too small and inconveniently located in the rooms to be useful.
