How can I get this off the wall?!

Just looking for some DIY advice please! These ikea units have been glued to the wall by the previous house owner (I’m assuming, can’t see any screws). I’m replacing the carpet in this room, and the carpet runs under them so they need to come off the wall.

Can I get them off without damaging the wall? It’s plasterboard. The unit under the pitch is already loose, I just need to separate if from the second one. The second unit is firmly attached to the wall but only along the top. Any advice greatly appreciated!

If they are glued to the plasterboard you will likely struggle to get them off without causing damage if they are glued to it. However, there appears to be a gap behind the unit so I don't think they are glued. Likely there are some hidden fixings somewhere.

Thanks @DRS1970 I thought that might be answer! They’re only glued down at the top of each unit. The body of the unit isn’t attached. Maybe I can separate the units from the tops so at least I can get out the part that’s on the carpet

Are you planning on keeping the units ?
If you are just cut the old carpet at the edges of the units. New carpet get laid to the units.
If you aren’t keeping them, then I suggest a hammer.

Looks like an "Ikea hack" using their KALLAX units. The units themselves are held together by 8 screws per unit, plus some wooden dowels between the panels.

Not sure how the right hand unit is attached, but there's a "worktop" of sorts been added to the top of the left hand unit and it may be secured with screws from underneath.

If you are going to keep the units I would echo what pp says but maybe screw them to the floor as well for a bit more rigidity - as if they are only anchored at the top, they may slide back and forth.
