One way glass

Hi, has anyone used one way glass/covering for privacy? I am
looking at this as my middle floor rooms are overlooked at the back and not sure whether to just have the film installed on the existing windows or have the windows replaced with one way glass. I’ve a quote for @£200 for the film fully fitted but no quote yet for the replacement glass which will be obviously more. I just want the best solution rather than scrimping as this will get a selling feature in years to come. Many thanks.

Don't know if things have changed but beware of 1-way glass at night.

Used to work in a ground-floor office that had 1-way (mirror) film on the windows.
It was amazing as people would check themselves, do their makeup etc in it and not notice that someone was staring at them from just a few inches away on the other side. People would even cup their hands against the glass to peer in but couldn't see us.
At night however when we had the lights on (didn't even need to be completely dark, just gloomy) it worked in reverse, they could see us clearly but we couldn't see them.
We soon learnt to make sure the blinds were pulled before this happened!

Haha, yes. I did some more research after I posted this thread and realised this. I’ve got blinds up - just need to make sure I shut them!
