Orangerie or full extension

....single story nothing too wild in terms of orangerie design, would this be a cheaper option than a brick extension. Knocking through the back of house sitting room currently extends a few metres or thereabouts more than other two rooms, think unless we bring other two rooms out to same depth it's going to feel narrow and cramped. Hadn't initially planned for it so want the cheaper option.

If you have the money, I will go for a proper extension.

Possibly don’t @SnowAndFrostOutside , Haha, that’s the problem. Meeting with architect next week but wanted to get some irl experiences.

An orangerie will be far less energy efficient. The fire risk is greater and they are more vulnerable to the effects of extreme weather (which we have to plan for as the climate breaks down).

If you live in a clay soil area, you are at a higher risk of subsidence with the lighter orangerie structure (many in my area are doing brick extensions to replace conservatories which have subsided). Single storey brick structures are better but still vulnerable do do not dkimp on foundations (like my opposite neighbour did)
