Solid surface kitchen worktop advice needed for a novice/hopeless case

Would love some wise MN advice. I'm redoing my (very small) kitchen and need a worktop that can be moulded into an upstand around the (induction) hob. Owing to messiness, I'd love as few joints as possible and for the surface to be able to take heat, be light grey that doesn't show stains my slovenliness can have drainage to the undermount sink. It's so small, it doesn't have to be the cheapest but nor have I got a fortune to spend. All advice/cautionary tales gratefully received...

We have a Dekton surface. It's great - stain proof, heat proof, can have drainage grooves formed in. I'm not sure an upstand can be "moulded" into it as such, but a matching upstand can certainly be bonded on by the manufacturers so as to look integral.

Thank you! Dekton now on my list. Someone has advised me (who knows my slovenly ways) that a curved bit going to an upstanding is desirable…
