Moving a wall

Moving to a 4 bed place. 3 bedrooms are decent sizes but the 4th is 2m by 2m which is not ideal as a space. Would moving a wall to steal 50cm from another room be a big job? For reference, it's the room directly next door. There's a built in wardrobe currently in it.

Depends if the existing wall is a load-bearing wall or a stud one. The former is a much bigger pain than the latter.

If the existing wardrobe is there because it used to be a chimney, then that's even worse.

I’d be very surprised if that wall was supporting the roof due to were it is , it may well be supporting the ceiling joists but it’s impossible to know unless you go in the loft and have a good look ( and know what your looking at ) .

if it’s a stud wall ? and the roof is a trussed design then it’s usually straightforward. It’s impossible to say for sure without looking at it.

It’s a good idea thought and I can see why you would want to do it.
