Unvented hot water cylinder noise

We're looking to replace the ancient hot water cylinder in our house and it'll need to be moved in order to serve the whole house as we currently have two separate hot water systems. There are a few options, but having had no experience of unvented cylinders we have no idea whether they are noisy. Can anyone advise?

They have no cistern or ballcock which are common sources of plumbing noise. You will probably need new 22mm pipes to and from the cylinder, and the bath taps, smaller pipes might make a noise as water rushes through them at twice the speed. Insulation round all the pipes will reduce the risk of rubbing or knocking. Some plumbers will tell you it is not necessary to insulate indoor pipes as they will probably not freeze. They will however waste energy where it is not wanted.

We have one and it is very quiet. I'm interested about the water moving through quickly as all the washers went the week we installed it - in our very ancient set of bath goods

More likely the increased pressure I think

Thank you - were having the main bathroom replaced and there's a mess of pipes, some of them lead so it'll all be replaced.
