Sorry for clickbait title!

We live in a semi detached house and had scaffolders in for some roof issues. The scaffolders have made some damage to my neighbours roof when removing the scaffold. Now they are not answering my calls or emails asking them to sort the damage or the water damage caused by my neighbours leaking roof.

I was thinking small claims court but wwyd? I didn't get special insurance and I assumed the scaffolding company would have insurance. I haven't ever had to do small claims court before and don't know what it entails or if this is a scenario for that.

Can you claim on your insurance? Your insurance company would then claim it back off your scaffolding company.

Did the scaffolders do the roof work too? If not you contact the roof company to sort the issue and claim back from the scaffolders. If not then I'd agree with house insurance. If it's small damage then just get a roofer up to rectify and cover the cost??

Well, if you want click bait my bil worked as a scaffolder on the oil rigs in Scotland. He and his mates all had "The biggest erection in Scotland" tee shirts.
