New boiler impossible to hide… aesthetics dilemma

Hello lovely people

I’ve just had a new boiler fitted today whilst I was at work. It required a lot of new pipe work and I’ve ended up with this black ugly thing to the right. I would get a cupboard built over it but as you can see, the boiler extends over the edge of the run of worktop/cupboards, so it would be a wall cupboard that hangs off the end. Additionally, the thermostat which will be fitted tomorrow is smaller than the old thermostat so the tiles will have a big hole and look a mess.

I had the kitchen done 4yrs ago. The style is now discontinued. Other than using houseplants and ‘stuff’ to try and mask it I’m at a loss at what to do and think it looks really unsightly. Does anyone have any ideas please as to how to cover this up? 🙏

He must have known you'd be looking to house it... nobody would have a boiler on display with all that pipework on show? With this in mind, why didn't he shunt it along to the left, allowing a bit extra space to enable the cupboard housing to line up with the units below? I think I'd be inclined to ask him to move it.

I think the problem with this is the position of the flue. If he moved the boiler and flue there would be a big hole which even filled would look unsightly in my garden as it’s a plain brick wall.

Hello all
Well a six months on I finally have a solution sorted! I managed to find a chippy who suggested a good, straightforward fix - boxing in the lot in a cupboard, with the pipes at the bottom enclosed in a shallower boxing so that the cupboard didn't loom too far out and to preserve as much counter space as possible/ The gas engineer came back and moved the black filter higher up to enable this shallower boxing in.
Here is the end result. The cupboard needs a second coat but I am well pleased with this. The overall effect in the kitchen is good.
