Radiators not heating after weather compensator fitted to boiler

We had a new boiler fitted in our house around 18 months ago and I was told by law that it must have a weather compensator fitted to it.

Since we put the heating back on I noticed that the radiators were considerably cooler than when they had been on before spring/summer.

I called the plumber out to check for issues and he said that it was the weather compensator they would not get as hot as they did before the compensator was fitted because that's how they work. Fair enough.

Fast forward to this cold snap we're having and they radiators still don't seem to be giving off much heat. Does anyone have experience with this? Is this normal, and is there a way I can give the radiators a kick up the arse to get warmer?

Thanks

Sounds like the output curve for the weather compensation has been set too low.

the manual for the weather compensation unit or the boiler should explain how to alter and the installer should have shown you.

it’s not law that one be fitted, it’s one of 4 options to increase the efficiency of the installation.
