Thinking of installing a wood burner or stove but there's no gas supply to the fireplace so fitting a fakey gas version (cleaner, if not as classy) will probably be far more expensive due to routing the gas supply.
But I have a daughter with asthma and viral wheeze, so wouldn't ever burn wood in the house.
Are these new eco fuels eg brickettes made from coffee grounds ok/better for asthmatics? Or just the same? I can't seem to find any research on it.
I know that for ease I'd definitely rather gas but can't be bothered to go through the effort of lifting floorboards etc.
