Top oven of double oven

What can I cook in the top oven of a built-under double oven?

Could I cook ready meals in plastic or paper containers or will they be too close to the heating element and melt/burn? What about ready meals in foil containers?

Can I bake fish fingers, rather than grilling, so I don't have to watch them and keep turning them over?

I do these sorts of things now in a big built-in oven, but I'm thinking of changing to a built-under double and hoping to exclusively use the much smaller top oven. I'm not interested in fitting in a turkey or anything. I just want to know it won't be like those table-top ovens that either burn stuff or fail to cook it at all. I've found they usually come with warnings not to cook ready meals at all because they are too close to the element.

I have an oven and a half and use the half all the time. Everything works fine. I can cook everything I want to except the turkey. I only need to be careful if I turn on the top element for grilling.

I have a double oven with a small top oven and use it regularly when I only have a small amount of stuff.

In use it in exactly the same way as the main oven (except that my top oven doesn't have a fan and it can also be used as a grill). If a container will go in the bottom oven if will go in the top oven.

The only ready meals I buy are from Cook and those are fine in the top oven.
