Recent bathroom refurb quote?

How much did it cost if you had your bathroom refurbished recently (eg in the last year)? Particularly if you were in London and the South East?
I've had some quotes in and can't believe my eyes. I clearly had unrealistic expectations.

12.5k London last year. Stripped, make good 2 of the walls, plastered, light switch moved outside, door moved, sink moved, walkin shower, fully tiled walls, flooring, ceiling painted.

Middle priced fittings and fixtures.

I'm based in SouthEast and it was £6k+VAT for the ensuite and £7k+VAT for the main bathroom. Price for both were labour and materials and excluding sanitary ware and tiles. Both rooms taken back to brick as they were a mess. Location of everything stayed the same in the ensuite but we had new lighting and an extractor installed. In the main bathroom, we had a separate shower installed, moved the sink, radiator and bath and new electrics inc underfloor heating. Both rooms fully tanked.

Thanks everyone. The bathroom is slightly bigger than some of yours so by all these figures it looks like it might not be as bonkers as I thought.

Some thinking to do. We have to get it done, so it's more like what's the best compromise.

West Midlands 3.2K that with knocking the WC through to make a family bathroom. Fitting the bath with shower toilet sink and tiles, cladding on the walls. Plastering the ceiling Lights etc..
We're also having the porch converted into a utility room with downstairs shower and toilet and the boiler repositioned. That costing 3k labour alone. Just need to get quotes for everything else I'm thinking an additional 1k

Up North. Couple years ago I was looking to budget £10k with £3k contingency for small bathroom bath/shower, sink and toilet

im starting looking again and will need to add at least £5k to the budget and more to contingency

I have just paid £3000 for new washbasin/pedestal/taps/ flooring/some decorating. I kept old bathroom cupboards, and bath but had new bath surround done. Simply couldn’t afford to have it completely refurbished so kept the old tiles ( plain white) . It took 4.5 days for one plumber to do the whole lot. Generally quite pleased to have a new wash basin ( it has a proper plug!) but the finish on the decorating was very poor.
I absolutely hate having workmen in the house and the upheaval and had put off having the work done for many years.

My quote came at around 10K. Very provisional. But basically he would be charging 5K +vat for the expected labour. 1K for adhesive and stuff like that and the rest would be for plastering/tiles/bath/basin/vanity unit.

It's a small bathroom. 1.65x2.15m

Just got a quote - £5600 for labour and building materials only, we would supply units, tiles etc. Small bathroom with no layout changes, South West.
