How quickly will a dehumidifier dry our screed?

Our screed went down at the end of August around 10 weeks ago. flooring company came to lay the wood floor and the moisture readings were 4.3 and need to be no higher than 3.5. we are week 2 with an industrial dehumidifier. Any ideas how long it will take to be ready?

It's so wet right now. Our dehumidifier doesn't get the indoor air below 80% right now. Do you have the heating on, or if there is no radiator yet, could you put a heater in the room ( warm air absorbs more moisture). Could you also add a ventilator or ideally 2? You could just open the windows and doors and create a draft, but it's so wet at the moment, so probably better trying to close all doors/windows as tight as possible and get the air warm, dry and moving. But 10 weeks seems a long time for screet to dry.

We've got the ufh on now and an industrial dehumidifier which is drawing out lots of water every day. We've had the whole house plastered so don't think that has helped. Hopefully not too long to wait now! I want a floor 😁

Why may I ask do you prefer wood for ufh? If you went for stone/ceramic tiles, you probably wouldn't have a problem, and I am under the impression that stone/ceramic is a more energy efficient partner for ufh. If you prefer the wood look, they do ceramic tiles that look like wood.

We have young children so didn't fancy tiles although I agree they would be best with ufh. We've gone for engineered wood.

For anyone coming to this thread in the future, the dehumidifier dried the floor out in 2 weeks. Floor going down on Fri 😁
