Buying a flat in a building with cladding

We are looking at buying a flat and I have seen one that has cladding on the outside. The Home Report recommended that an EWS1 form was obtained. I've had a look at the EWS1 form and it is category A2. From the terms of the report it looks as though it is a low risk. The flat would be on the fourth floor of a building. Do you think this would put off future purchasers? In many ways the property looks perfect but we will probably only own it for around 5 years so I want to make sure I can sell it in the future. In other respects the building is perfect - reasonable price, OK area, close to where we need it to be.

I'm not sure about A2 category but some buildings are basically unmortgagable until the cladding is fixed. We can't sellmour flat for that reason although it's relatively low risk. Have been going through a 2 1/2 year (and counting) process of getting the grant to fix it.

Yes, that is what is worrying me. The report says that no remedial action is required so I'm hoping it wouldn't be unmortgageable.

Are you a cash buyer or getting a mortgage?

Cash buyer, but I don't want to get something that is unmortgageable and so restrict potential purchasers in the future.
